Reclaiming maximum outdoor living space from the steep terrain.

This property is built on a steep incline. In order to reclaim maximum outdoor living space from the steep terrain, we created a series of usable level spaces. The first level features a vegetable garden, the second ( main level) a spacious outdoor living & entertainment area, a third level features a Native America sweat lodge. The main level consists of several patios and decks, with 2 Indonesian fire bowls, outdoor movie theater and a 8 person Jacuzzi.

We built wood decks, railings and stairs primarily out of redwood, cedar, ipe, and Trex, which is a recycled plastic material. These materials are the most widely available, sustainable and cost effective timber solutions for the San Francisco Bay Area.
